Five years building the personal data empowerment and market research app, CitizenMe (500K MAU), taught us what works in production. The CitizenMe mission was to create a better personal data ecosystem, providing a place for individuals to collect, store and process their Life Stream data to surface insights for themselves that they could share with others. We understand how hard it can be to run a successful, high-quality, Consumer Insights Panel at scale. From balancing panellist acquisition cost with panel retention, to eliminating bot fraud and bad actors.

In 2024, due to demand from major international consumer companies, the team sunsetted the CitizenMe app and brand, and started building DataSapien Device-Native-AI (DNA) technology from the ground up for Enterprise-scale consumer apps. We have packaged up our experience and learning about Consumer Panels, and the needs of Market Research, as an SDK that is particularly powerful for panel operators.
